The Desi Banger Rally 2015

19 gentlemen took 6 bangers from the Derby County Football Club to the San Siro Football Club in Italy.

These bangers cost under £300 each to buy and travelled through 4 countries in 3 days.

Starting in Derby they travelled through England, across France to Switzerland and ended their journey in Milan, Italy.

Part of the route taken was tackling the hairpin bends in the Alps as seen on The Italian Job with Michael Caine and the infamous coach.

The vehicles handled everything thrown at them, not one of them let the crew down.

Nobody seemed to want to buy these tireless work horses in Milan, the steering wheel was on the wrong side! Ordinarily the scrap yards over there charge £50 per car to scrap them but the team persuaded a kind yard to take them without charge.

The 19 strong team were all sorry to see the dear little cars go, but they managed to raise more than £25,000.00 for charity.
